New Cross Gate New Deal for Communities (NDC) is an area based regeneration partnership. In 2001, New Cross Gate NDC was allocated £45m by the Government to work with local people, community organisations and key service-delivery partners to regenerate the New Cross Gate area over ten years.

Council
The Economic Development Unit at Lewisham Councilseeks to develop and regenerate the economy and community, with key objectives being to create employment opportunities and secure external funding for the benefit of the area.

The Office for Business and Community Development (OB&CD), funded by HEFCE, is part of a national initiative to promote working links with business and the community at large. The Goldsmiths College emphasis is focused on the Creative and Cultural Industries that play such an important part in the London and regional economies.
